Executive Director

Responsibilities

  • Lead a task force to identify, monitor and analyze key policy issues related to the overall business objectives of the EAEF
  • Develop policy POVs, strategic initiatives, operational plans and research projects relevant to the EAEF’s overall business objectives
  • Advise internal stakeholders on key relevant policy issues and the general political environment in Asia, North America and Europe
  • Represent the EAEF in public events and conversations; manage and oversee EAEF leaders and internal stakeholders’ engagements with partners and the general public
  • Increase the EAEF’s profile and presence among scholars, experts and industry leaders across various fields, especially in public policy and international affairs

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree(s) in Political Science, Public Policy, International Relations or related fields
  • Minimum 5 to 10 years of management experience in public policy, public relations and related fields
  • Experience in handling public policy challenges in international affairs, preferably with a regional focus on Canada-China, Canada-US, U.S.-China relations and/or other relevant subject-matter expertise in public policy, government affairs, etc.
  • Thorough understanding of the think tank industry and relevant public events
  • Excellent leadership and professional presence, preferably with experience working with international teams
